Most people depend on luck, or hope to win the lottery or wait for that next promotion. Once you get that million dollars+, all your money problems are solved which means most of your problems are solved. If you want to hear something crazy keep reading.
What if money doesn't solve your problems. Let's just say that you got a great promotion at work or won $1,000,000. THAT'S FANTASTIC! Now you have more money, probably more bills (BIGGER BILLS) more debt and your still not good at solving problems. One thing you have to understand is that MONEY DOES NOT SOLVE PROBLEMS, INTELLIGENCE SOLVES PROBLEMS (if you feel your not that intelligent or talented don't be afraid, intelligence is simply, not memorizing answers to problems but thinking of ways to solve problems.)
I want more people to understand that financial problems aren't really caused from lack of finances, if you look at the problem from the root and not the surface. Usually people are just too lazy think of ways to fix their problems so instead they get a credit card for more money or a loan, maybe even take a part-time job.
Humans are creatures of habit by nature and the hardest thing for us to exercise is our brain because it's probably our laziest muscle. Check this out, If you go to a restaurant and order something on the menu and you enjoy it you'll try it again and you'll go back, and then you'll try it again. If you find a spot that you like sitting at in that same restaurant you'll try to sit there again as well, and again. After a while you stop thinking about it and you just do this routine over and over naturally because it's a no brainer. One thing is true, people love no brainers. Why? Because they don't have to think.
Let's say you walk into a store and see $999.99 jacket (this doesn't have to be a jacket, it could be what ever you really like and don't have the money to purchase, maybe a car, motorcycle, tattoo, boat etc.) that is just too sweet to not own; but because you don't have the money you tell yourself it would be nice but I can't afford it. As soon as you said I can't afford it your brain stopped thinking. You have actually trained your brain to stop thinking about certain things. Think about it....
The reason I started this blog was to get people to think more and have more than one perspective about things in life in general. Everything around us has and is changing except the way people think. Everyone knows alot of things aren't the way they used to be, but they don't understand that we have to change as well in order to keep our heads above water. A great saying that can always be used is "INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS".
So, back to the jacket you can't afford. As soon as you can't afford it your brain stops thinking about it and you stroll down to wal-mart and look for the sweetest deal they have to offer. Not only did you stop thinking but you also created a habit that keeps you from thinking. Think about it...
What if instead of saying you can't afford it, you ask yourself How can I afford that? and really Think about it...
Once you say I can't afford it you brain immediately stops thinking but when you ask yourself how can I afford it? and honestly take some time to think about it (maybe a few days or even a week or two) now you are forcing your brain to work and that's a good thing. In fact it's the beginning of a new outlook on life and future problems.
Understand that most of the literature in my blogs are part of a process so if something doesn't quite make sense at first or seems hard to grasp, just keep reading and thinking about what's being said sometimes it takes a minute for things to click in.
